Crafted Society was born out of a passion to create exquisite hand crafted products with the most talented artisans of Italy and use them as a vehicle for SOCIAL GOOD while simultaneously helping to preserve authentic and traditional craftsmanship. To keep the crafts alive the artisans must pass on their knowldege to the next generation. Educational transfer of knowledge and skills was the catalyst for our brand. We abandoned the traditional, secretive, exclusive and mostly profit-oriented focus that has long been associated with luxury and adopted a modern, transparent, inclusive and purpose driven set of values to add context to the artisanal, handcrafted products our master craftsmen and craftswomen have so lovingly created for us. We believe that a modern business has to strive and aspire towards a purpose greater than only profit. This is why we decided to use our business to support broader education focused projects around the world. Our philosophy intertwines with our values and acts as our compass towards achieving a balanced business and brand. It serves as our measurement tool of how conducting business should go hand in hand with putting purpose, people, and our environment ahead of a profit-only focus. Luxury for Good is an evolution on the traditional luxury industry. It prioritises quality over quantity, handcraft over full automation, and timeless items over unsustainable seasonal collections. There are several names for this new mind set on luxury - some call it post luxury, conscious luxury or new luxury. We wanted to walk the talk which is why luxury combined with GOOD has becomes our CODE OF CONDUCT of how we can make a difference - GOOD is also directly connected towards the people we work with and for, the authentic and traditional artisanal methods of creation & why we were passionate to use CRAFTED SOCIETY as a force for GOOD.
Our value proposition to our customers should also be GOOD and fair. By offering our goods directly to you via our webstore and pop-up stores we have stripped out all of the unnecessary luxury markups (showrooms, wholesalers, salesman samples, advertising, catwalk shows etc), which enables us to provide exquisite, hand crafted, high quality products for a price way below what TRADITIONAL luxury brands charge.
